ABOUT Standards

The intended scope of the SEQ Code is for reticulation and collection mains up to 300 mm diameter and sewage pumping stations up to 200L/s. (Refer to the individual documents for the specific limitations.) For larger trunk infrastructure the SEQ Code provides guidance. However, users of the SEQ Code are encouraged to contact the relevant service provider for detailed advice on how trunk infrastructure should be planned, designed, constructed, and/or commissioned, etc.

The SEQ water service providers have other specifications, standards and procedures that have not yet been incorporated into the SEQ Code.  An example of this is sub-metering policies.  Where the SEQ Code is unclear, or does not cover a particular activity, users of the SEQ Code are encouraged to contact the relevant service provider for detailed advice.

Building Over and Adjacent to Assets (BOAA) assessment does not form part of the SEQ Code.  For detailed advice on BOAA applications refer to the relevant water service provider.
